The Love of Making

My sister and I have taken to knitting in front of the TV.  I've been doing it for years and now she's got hooked on it too.  She went from making things with holes and weird cast offs to making amazing hats and beanies as well as cowls and scarves for everyone she knows.  Even her pain specialist and the anaesthetist!  I am delighted she's got the bug as it's so relaxing and satisfying to make stuff. I've been knitting and crocheting like mad too and, unlike my sister, I don't mind frogging or starting again. I recently took out a crocheted cocoon jacket I'd made from Noro Silk Garden as I wasn't satisfied with how the colours showed themselves in the crochet and now I am knitting it in 30cm squares and will put it all together once all the squares are done. It might still become a cardigan.... Here is a shawl I made for a close friend for her 60th, which was three years ago!!! I finally finished it and will post it next week.  I hope she likes it
